True diversity in the workplace

Achieving true diversity in the workplace takes more than quotas and surface level initiatives. It takes a genuine, company-wide, all hands on deck approach to changing the environment, changing the hiring practices and in being open to feedback stemming from the lived experiences of those you’re trying to hire.

When we continue to pick from the top of the tree without taking the time and genuine care to water the roots, we’re simply seeking to reap the benefits without putting in the work. If you are committed to genuinely achieving diversity in your workplace, you need to be willing to put in the work, be humble enough to listen and committed to change.
